Behavior Analyst Job Description
Behavior analysts study and assess individuals with behavioral problems, as well as what sort of a behavioral impact changes to their environment can create. Behavioral analysts either work in either a research capacity or as applied behavioral analysts.
Typical Job Duties
• Conduct studies that measure specific behavioral influences, such as the environment surrounding the individual
• Look for new ways to solve behavioral problems in specific audiences, such as school children or the elderly
• Assist in the treatment of various mental health issues, such as autism and developmental disabilities
• Assist individuals in identifying their needs and formulating treatment plans to manage problematic behaviors
• Monitor the progress of individuals under their care
• Keep comprehensive case files
