Senior Policy Advisor Job Description

Under the supervision of the Policy Manager, the Senior Policy Advisor is responsible for carrying out policy activities agreed in the annual work plan of their organization.

The Senior Policy Advisor works with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support the objectives of the organization or agency and all of its partners.

Typical Job Duties

• Plan and implement specific policy projects under the supervision of the policy manager

• Produce accessible, accurate and comprehensive policy briefs, reports and papers

• Represent the policy position of the organization and its allies

• Build partnerships with colleagues in thematic working groups and other organizations or agencies

• Share information and engage in joint policy actions with partners
