Importer/Exporter Job Description
An import/export tradesperson is responsible for planning, directing and organizing the operations of a company that’s involved in importing or exporting goods.
Typical Job Duties
• Plan, direct and coordinate the distribution of a product or service to a customer
• Establish sales territories and quotas in order to coordinate sales distribution
• Establish and evaluate training programs for sales representatives
• Analyze sales data compiled by staff to determine customer preferences and inventory requirements
• Liaise with other departments to find new products or customers
• Liaise with international supplier representatives
