A strategic planner recommends changes or improvements to an organization’s current business plans, policies and procedures, in order to strategize for current and future growth.
Typical Job Duties
• Identify, analyze and monitor issues within an organization which may affect productivity, growth or profitability
• Recommend financial and non-financial strategic alternatives
• For the purposes of gaining a competitive advantage, identify what the competition is doing or not doing
• Develop and maintain operational plans
• Confer with executives in order to review new strategies and outline implementation
