First Assistant Director Job Description
The film director's assistant is an administrator who works closely with a director throughout the film production process.
Typical Job Duties
• Perform various administrative duties as assigned by the director
• May write coverage on scripts
• May be involved with recruiting and interviewing production personnel
• Answer and return phone calls, e-mails and letters on behalf of the director
• Assist with copyrighting duties
• Arrange meetings
• Liaise between the producer and the post-production team
• Assist in the preparation of publicity materials
