Dance Critic Job Description
Dance critics are responsible for attending live dance performances and publishing or broadcasting reviews of those dance performances.
Typical Job Duties
• Attend live dance performances
• Summarize dance performances
• Critique the quality of the performance, based on judgment, experience and knowledge
• Conduct interviews with performers, choreographers, directors, theatre managers, patrons and other relevant individuals
• Provide insights and background concerning the performance
• Maintain current industry knowledge
• Build industry contacts and maintain contact with them
