Intelligence Analyst Job Description

Intelligence analysts are responsible for acquiring, evaluating, analyzing and assessing secret intelligence related information. Intelligence analysts are primarily employed by government agencies such as the armed forces and the police. 

Typical Job Duties

• Identify potential sources of intelligence

• Build up intelligence pictures

• Evaluate the reliability of sources and credibility of information

• Develop and maintain expertise in specific area of intelligence

• Liaise with colleagues in security and intelligence agencies across the nation in order to acquire information

• Deliver intelligence reports to government officials, such as those in the Ministry or Department of Defence
