• Ensure current and newly acquired customers are retained

• Perform consumer needs assessment

• Liaise with senior management to determine budget and timeline of campaign

• Develop advertising strategy for products or services

• Oversee the implementation of advertising and marketing plans

• Determine which mediums to use, such as radio, television, print and online advertisements

• Work with product development department to determine pricing

• Work with advertising illustrators, creative directors and other professionals to develop advertisement themes

Arguably the most important qualification you can have when applying for advertising manager jobs is relevant work experience. Employers generally prefer to hire candidates for advertising manager jobs who have experience in positions of increasing responsibility within an advertising department or advertising agency.
