Magician Job Description

Magicians perform sleight of hand tricks as well as illusions to entertain audiences at private parties and functions or during public performances. Magicians may work as a freelancer or for an organization on a contract basis.

Typical Job Duties

• Perform tricks using sleight of hand

• Perform complicated illusions

• Engage the audience in order to enhance their experience

• Acquire and perfect new tricks

• Be able to work with various groups, from children to the elderly

• May be responsible for performing business administration functions if self employed
