A director of youth development is responsible for planning, creating and managing comprehensive youth development after school or summer programs for school age youth.
Typical Job Duties
• Work with staff and executive leadership to design comprehensive youth development programs
• Ensure effective coordination and integration of the program by implementing project management processes
• Provide support to executive leadership and staff in the areas of planning, management, program execution and communications
• Assist with funding development initiatives for youth programs
• Collaborate with youth and adult education services management team to ensure the effective coordination of program schedules and related events for youth and families
