Missionary Job Description 

Missionaries travel to different regions across the world in order to share their religious beliefs with the inhabitants of that region. 

Missionaries often perform engaging tasks such as teaching, building schools, providing medical care or leading a local religious organization.  

Typical Job Duties

• Encourage other staff members and volunteers

• Assume a level of responsibility for each missionary’s physical, emotional and spiritual well being

• Personally relate to campers, missionaries and local people

• Be loyal to the aims, policies, and regulations of the camp

• Seek to teach locals in the ways of the missionary’s religious teachings

• May involve labour, for building local infrastructure

• May involve teaching classes
