Intelligence Officers provide advance warning to government departments regarding potential threats to their homeland by collecting and analyzing information. Such threats may include terrorism, espionage, cyber-tampering of critical infrastructure and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Typical Job Duties
• Investigate threats to national security
• Perform security assessments
• Performing security screening activities
• Collect, analyze and retain information related to activities that are suspected of being a national threat
• Liaise with other government departments
