Political Coordinator Job Description
Political coordinators are responsible for empowering their organization or interest group in the legislative process, at the ballot box and at their work sites.
The political coordinator is responsible for assisting in and coordinating activities that are based on long range objectives.
Typical Job Duties
• Establish and maintain relationships with elected officials and key elected staff
• Assist with coordinating the work of the organization or interest group with local labour and community allies
• Build the capacity of the organization through fundraising
• Mobilize and train new member leaders and activists for legislative and electoral activity
• Coordinate political field activities, lobby visits, phone banking and events for policy, legislative and electoral participation campaigns at the local, regional and national levels.
