Human Rights Commission Development Officer Job Description

Human rights commission development officers are responsible for supporting the development and advocacy efforts of the human rights organization or mandate they represent.

Typical Job Duties

• Liaise with relevant and partnering institutions and organizations

• Provide strategic support and expertise with regards to specific Human Rights mandates and issues

• Coordinate activities and plan the work of various human rights committees

• Provide committee members with up to date information

• Provide briefings and background documents on Human Rights policies and strategies

• Ensure follow up is performed with regards to any decisions that are made

• Assist the director of the organization in acquiring additional funds for various Human Rights projects
