Sound Effects Designer Job Description
Sound designers are responsible for planning and providing the sound effects for a theatrical production.
The sound designer may be asked to recreate lifelike noises or use music and other sounds to support the drama of the production.
Typical Job Duties
• Study the script and gather all possible details relating to the sound or music the production will require
• Confer with director and the design team in order to get a clear understanding of the production concept
• Create necessary sounds based on requirements of production
• Attend rehearsals to see how sound fits with production
