Wardrobe Supervisor Job Description

The wardrobe supervisor is responsible for the costumes and dressers for stage, film and television productions. They must organize and maintain all of the costumes and outfits for a designated production.

Typical Job Duties

• Liaise with the Costume Shop Technician to organize people and work schedule

• Meet with costume designer to develop wardrobe

• Meet with dressers to discuss and delegate duties

• Attend rehearsals or run-throughs to become familiar with the production

• Organize wardrobe, which involves inventory control and laundry coordination

• Fill in as a dresser when needed

• Post actor repair request lists each evening before performance
