Dance specialists are responsible for facilitating classes that enable individuals to develop their dance knowledge and abilities. They must ensure a sense of belonging and community is integrated through their selection of activities.

Typical Job Duties

• Prepare students to demonstrate their abilities for one another or for a group of their peers

• Liaise with other specialists

• Ensure program participants are engaged in the activities of the program

• Promote creativity, self-expression and positive peer relationships

• Create and facilitate engaging dance class that helps builds skill and body awareness
