Criminal analysts are responsible for gathering and analyzing statistical data and documentation pertaining to criminal activity.
Typical Job Duties
• Liaise with criminal investigators and law enforcement officials
• Gather, categorize and analyze statistical data and other documentation
• Prepare and disseminate reports regarding existing and anticipated criminal activity
• Provide recommendations to criminal investigators regarding criminal activity
• Assist criminal investigators and law enforcement officials with increasing the effectiveness of patrol deployment and suspect apprehension
