Surveillance Officer Job Description

Surveillance Officers act as oversight and a security agent for casino or hotel management, guests and customers by monitoring the activities of the establishment using various methods, such as two-way mirrors and audio/visual equipment.

Surveillance Officer Job Duties

• Supervise and train surveillance officers
• Report violations and suspicious activities to supervisors, either verbally or in writing
• Monitor the activities of the establishment to ensure adherence to regional gaming legislation and well as establishment policies
• Observe establishment operations and pay attention for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by employees or patrons
• Liaise with other surveillance officers and security agents
