Publicity Director Job Description
Publicity directors are responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of public image campaigns and activities which suit the best interests of clients.
Typical Job Duties
• Coordinate the development and implementation of a public relations or publicity campaign which creates a positive public image for the client
• Confer with client to ensure publicity needs are properly communicated
• Act as a liaison between client and media
• Create press releases or sponsor events related to the client’s image
• Manage a staff of public relations specialists to ensure the proposed plan is implemented efficiently and successfully
• Gather financial reports
• Maintain internal firm communications
