A campaign manager is responsible for coordinating the actions of a political campaign such as fundraising, advertising, polling and direct contact with the public.

Campaign managers may focus on setting strategy, executing strategy  or both depending on the size and resource base of the campaign.

• Recruit and manage campaign staff and volunteers

• Liaise with the candidate and any outside political consultants

• Operate under strict timelines and budgets

• Plan and oversee fundraising events

• May execute strategy as set by political consultants

• May set campaign strategy
