Music booking agents are responsible for finding work for musicians. They must negotiate where and when an artist or band will perform, as well as the financial terms related to the performance. Booking agents may work independently, or as an employee of a talent agency.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Liaise with clients to identify ideal performance circumstances

• Schedule live performances for solo artists or bands

• Network with venue operators, music promoters and other booking agents

• Oversee all financial matters and scheduling of performances

• May perform strictly booking duties, or may be involved in artist or band management
