Copy editors are responsible for ensuring that text is accurate and grammatically correct prior to publication. Copy editors may work on such publications as newspapers, books, magazines and others.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Ensure text is well written and properly structured

• Correct any grammar and spelling errors

• Ensure that style is in line with that of the publishing house

• Ensure facts are accurate

• Ensure that illustrations and captions are correct

• May add headlines and introductory paragraphs to magazine articles
